The city of Kirovsk is located in the center of Kola peninsula, in southern part Hibiny of a hills on coast of lake Big Woodyavr. Into structure of the Kirov administrative area enter: the city of Kirovsk, separately located microdistrict - Kukisvumchor, settlements the Titan,Koashva and Octoberskiy.
Kirovsk from Moscow 1930 km, from Saint Petersburg - about 1250 km, from the regional center of Murmansk - separate 200 km.
Among other cities of Murmansk area is the closest to Kirovsk the cities of Apatitys (16 km), Monchegorsk and Polarnie Zori (90 km), Kandalaksha and Olenegorsk (120 km) are located.
Kirovsk is one of leaders in Russia of the centers of mountain skiing. In city there is 8 lifts, springboards for jumps on the skis, the covered ski line.
Unique environment allow to be engaged in winter kinds of sports from October till May, that sportsmen - skiers, biathlonists, jumpers from a springboard, freestylers, mountain skiers annually use. Conditions place allow to increase efficiency of training process.

It is possible to reach Kirovsk by train (an item. Apatitys), bus from Murmansk and plane.
Airport "Hibiny" in which regular flights from Moscow and Saint Petersburg are made, is located in 40 minutes of driving from city.
